This video presents a lot of information about Singapore's world famous Jurong Bird Park. The largest of its kind measured by number of birds, this tourist destination in Singapore has over 9,000 birds! I found the sheer size and construction of this park fascinating.
This is a good video on Singapore, especially if you are interested in moving or visiting there for business opportunities. There's really not much here about any tourist landmarks, but there's some good information on population, language and the economy.
Here's the most recent promo video from the Singapore Tourism Board. It's an odd combination of heavy dub beats to start moving into a swingy-style jazz, all set to mostly still of Raffles, Sentosa, the Esplanade and the food and nightlife of Singapore.
I found this video interesting for two reasons: first of all, it shows a bit behind the scenes as to how the tourism industry in Singapore views, markets and measures itself, which is somewhat helpful to know as a visitor and traveller; secondly, it's really very hip and youthful in the selection of music and how the images are edited. Certainly it's amazing to see just how huge the tourism industry is here...
Interesting news clip on the Singapore Flyer, now the worlds largest ferris wheel. It actually appear quite as big as the London Eye, but I guess looks can be deceiving, since it is 30 metres taller. Now I can't wait to see what the higher Great Wheel of China will look like in 2009!
