Want to see wildlife in their natural environment? There is no better place than Singapore Zoo! This package offers a great opportunity for an adventure-filled wildlife exploration in a convenient way. The Singapore Zoo is situated in 28 hectares of area and is home to 3500 animals from more than 300 unique species. The zoo is managed by Wildlife Reserves Singapore which also manages Jurong Bird Park and the Singapore Night Safari Park. Just like these two popular spots, the Singapore Zoo is also divided into different zones that would definitely leave you in awe. Let us take a look at some of the most popular zones in this zoo.
Right from the Frozen Tundra to the Australian Outback, each of the zone showcases animals that are indigenous to that particular area.
Frozen Tundra: Experience the feeling of living in the Tundra region for some time. The main attraction of this region is the polar bear. An important thing you must know is that this polar bear was born locally. Fragile Forest: Rainforests are dense and beautiful but not everyone gets the chance to visit it. In Singapore Zoo, you get the opportunity to visit a rainforest in the Fragile Forest zone. This is also your chance to know and understand about mangrove ecosystems.
Reptile Garden: If the crawlies fascinate you, you would really like the reptile garden where you can find a variety of reptiles including Rhino Iguana, Komodo Dragon, Aldabra Giant Tortoise, etc. You would also get to see some venomous reptiles like python, king cobra, dog-toothed cat snake, oriental whipsnake, etc.
Wild Africa: This zone has been fashioned like grassy plains of Africa and is home to animals like African wild dog, Meerkat, white rhinoceros, African lion, etc.
Another attraction at the zoo that would delight you is the orchid garden where you will see some beautiful orchids and several other tropical crops. However, the list of attractions do not stop here. The Singapore Zoo would entertain and amaze you too.
The Singapore Zoo is a must visit place regardless of whether you're an animal lover or not. The Zoo is spacious and well maintained despite being a home to over 3000 animals. Spread in 28 hectares of land, it requires lots of walking to explore all the zones. But we just have to satiate our desire by visiting the Frozen Tundra, Reptile Garden, and the Wild Africa zones since these were the only zones that were included in the package. Nevertheless, the experience was outstanding. We enjoy watching the polar beer. The Fragile Forest was the best attraction where we saw flying foxes, ring-tailed lemers, and other animals.
Definitely a great place for a family to enjoy together. Watching animals roaming freely in their natural habitat is altogether a different experience
